On top of the world!

Hessel - on top of the world!

After ten years in remission from cancer, Anne Rowson recently fulfilled two ambitions by climbing the 5900 metres of Kilimanjaro and raising money for cancer research; and all this in spite of fracturing her ankle eleven weeks before the trip. The total raised was £13,000+ and, because Hessel sponsored the trip, all of the proceeds went to Cancer Research UK.

Anne is pictured above presenting the cheque to Ryan Bromley, Cancer Research UK's Area Volunteer Manager for East Sussex.

Anne’s husband, David, felt that temperatures of -20 and a final 12 hour push to the summit didn’t compare with his tribulations in having to run the Rowson household on his own for the first time in 20 years. Unfortunately we can’t publish Anne’s response.
